QSA influences on isotopic ratio measurements

چکیده
The quasi-simultaneous arrival (QSA) effect has been tested with the Cameca NanoSIMS 50. The capability of obtaining rather large values of K (ratio of secondary ions ejected per primary ions) has been used to follow the evolution of QSA over a large range of K value by changing the collection efficiency. The amplitude of the effect associated with QSA has been determined and compared to the theoretical value by using silicon and sulfur isotopic ratio measurements. QSA influence on pulse height distribution (PHD) has also been demonstrated. # 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Investigation of the quasi-simultaneous arrival (QSA) effect on a CAMECA IMS 7f-GEO.
RATIONALE IMS 7f-GEO isotope ratio applications increasingly involve analyses (e.g., S- or O- isotopes, coupled with primary ion currents <30 pA) for which quasi-simultaneous arrival (QSA) could compromise precision and accuracy of data. QSA and associated correction have been widely investigated for the CAMECA NanoSIMS instruments, but not for the IMS series. METHODS Sulfur and oxygen isotop...
متن کاملDefect Diagnosis Using a Current Ratio Based Quiescent Signal Analysis Model for Commercial Power Grids
Quiescent Signal Analysis (QSA) is a novel electrical-test-based diagnostic technique that uses IDDQ measurements made at multiple chip supply pads as a means of locating shorting defects in the layout. The use of multiple supply pads reduces the adverse effects of leakage current by scaling the total leakage current over multiple measurements. In previous work, a resistance model for QSA was d...
متن کاملA Current Ratio Model for Defect Diagnosis using Quiescent Signal Analysis
I DDQ test has been used extensively both as defect reliability screen and as a defect diagnostic technique. However, the increase in subthreshold leakage currents in deep sub-micron technologies has reduced the effectiveness of I DDQ in these applications. Quiescent Signal Analysis (QSA) is a novel diagnostic technique that uses I DDQ measurements made at multiple supply pads on the Chip-Under...

متن کاملA comparative study of 8-hydroxyquinoline-5-sulphonic acid and its 7-nitro derivative loaded on F-400 granular activated carbon for removal of copper ions from aqueous solutions
The purpose of this study was to compare 8-hydroxyquinoline -5-sulphonic acid (QSA) and its 7nitro derivative (NQSA) loaded on F-400 GAC as a suitable adsorbent material for adsorption of Cu ions in aqueous solutions. Batch experiments were performed to evaluate effect of various parameters like pH, contact time, temperature, agitation speed, etc. Kinetic studies were done which showed 90.14% r...
